Mission accomplished at Pick Up The Burn cleanup event on April 29th in The Yacolt Burn State Forest, SW Washington!
All the recreation groups were well represented, along with the general public from Clark and Skamania Counties, as they joined forces in removing unsightly and harmful trash from the Yacolt Burn State forest.
Here’s the pictorial story from Trash No Land’s perspective.
The morning safety briefing…
As you can see in a picture above, Trash No Land received a surprise gift from PISTON’S WILD Motorsports Club! It was awarded to us in appreciation of our efforts to improve recreational target shooting, as our efforts effect all recreation. Thank you! We are elated by your gift.
Trash No Land led a crew to the Arrowhead Pit for a clean up.
Four full pickup loads were hauled off to the dumpster from this one shooting pit.
At noon, it was time to head back to Jones Creek Trailhead parking lot for a nice lunch and a little fun giving away prizes for the most unique and odd findings in the forest.
A good deed was done by all! Thank you to everyone who participated.
Thank you to WA State Dept of Natural Resources, Pacific Cascades Region, for hosting this annual event! Well done!
